Embracing who you are is true love. Being able to accept the little lines around your smile is freedom. After all, weren’t those wrinkles earned by laughing? Each crow’s foot is a measure of who you are, who you have been, and who you will become. Fifty is the new forty and forty is the new thirty. You have to love the new math!
We are much more than our physical beings. Our bodies are merely the shell we are wearing over our souls. Aging and beauty can go hand in hand. And it really has little to do with cosmetics. There is nothing wrong with enhancing and embracing your physical beauty as long as you realize there is so much more to life, more to you.
Age is mind over matter, if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. I refuse to become one of those women who spend precious moments in life worrying about a line on my face or a droopy butt. As long as I am healthy, I am good.
To that end, aging gracefully has much to do with being grateful for who you are, what you have, and, living in the moment. When you adopt an attitude of gratitude, things like a couple of gray hairs matter less. Concentrating on the wonderful aspects of “you” makes you more whole and infinitely more beautiful.
One of my favourite quotes is by Kobi Yamada. It is: “Be good to yourself. If you don’t take care of your body, where will you live?”
Having said that there is nothing wrong with making minor improvements to your “home” and when we have a nice home we feel good about ourselves. It is the same with our body, if we make improvements they make us feel better about ourselves, so i can understand why some women have cosmetic or plastic surgery and as long as the motivations are right then i say good luck to them.
