Eyebag surgery
In extreme circumstances, people actually do get eh bags under the eyes. It is much more than just discoloration and a lack of sleep. Most bags under the eyes occur because of accumulated fat in the eye area. In some people, the septum that surrounds the eyeball will weaken, and that allows for the outer layer of fat within the socket to sink forward. It truly makes you appear to have literal “bags” under your eyes. This is not a random occurrence, and there are a few medical conditions that can lead to the weakening of the septum and cause the bags. Some of the conditions can be kidney disease, and hypothyroidism. There are also certain toxins in the environment that can lead to this condition.

At this point, the only true cure for bags under the eyes is a surgery known as blepharoplasty. Although it is a surgical procedure that treats the condition, it is not an actual eye surgery, as rarely does it affect the actual eye. It is a procedure that removes the excess fat, skin or muscle from around the eyes. It is an outpatient procedure and it helps not only remove the bags and all of their causes, but it can also help your vision in itself. As we age, not only can these bags develop, but you can have a buildup of the excess fat on the eyelid, as well as beneath your eyes. This can lead to an impairment of your vision, and by eliminating that problem, the eyes can be how they were meant to be.
